How to order study material through CDS portal ?
The institute - ICAI in order to provide the updated study material at your doorstep it has developed centralized distribution system ( CDS). This new portal is available at
https://icai-cds.org/
with an option to cater to members, registered students and other stakeholders.
Through this portal students who have completed the registration formalities of any level will get an automatic notification ( Email or SMS Alert) regarding their ID and Password with an option to change the password. The students will get SMS or Mail only after their registration has been confirmed by the ICAI and only those students can login to CDS Portal and order the books by applying coupons. Under this system the students can tract their dispatches and also submit their feedbacks.
Features of CDS
Foundation Course students -
- Foundation Students will be allotted one coupon for placing their order against their registration / conversion to the course.
- Allotted coupon will be valid for a period of 4 months from the date of registration with ICAI.
- They can place their order through https://icai-cds.org/ and redeem the coupon. They need not to pay for order material and courier charges. Once Coupon get exhausted, then they have to pay courier charges for next order of study material. Hence it is advisable to order complete set of material in single coupon.
Intermediate Course students -
- Student enrolling for intermediate will be allotted one coupon each for Group I and Group II or two coupons for Both Group registrations.
- Allotted coupons is valid for a period of 1 year from the date of registration with ICAI.
- They can place their order through https://icai-cds.org/ and redeem the coupons. Once Coupon get exhausted, then they have to pay courier charges for next order of study material. Hence it is advisable to order complete set of one group material in single coupon.
Final Course Students -
- Student enrolling for Final Course will be allotted two coupons for Both Group registrations.
- Allotted coupons is valid for a period of two years from the date of registration.
- They can place their order for desired Study Material through https://icai-cds.org/ and redeem the coupons. Once Coupon get exhausted, then they have to pay courier charges for next order of study material. Hence it is advisable to order complete set of one group material in single coupon.

Steps to order ICAI Study Material through CDS Portal -
Step 1 - Visit official Page of ICAI CDS
Step 2 - Select your respective course
Click on the Students menu on top of the menu bar. Then select your respective course.
Step 3 - Choose your subject
After choosing your respective course like CA foundation Kit, CA Intermediate, CA Final. After selecting your Course and the subjects, add them to the cart.
Step 4 - Login | Coupon
There is a Basket button given in the top right corner of the page, you can click on the same, then you can view your cart and check. Click on the proceed to checkout and login to your account to get your free coupon activated.
CA student may login by using Student Registration Number (SRN) and date of birth or guests/members login by mobile number and date of birth.
Step 5 - Making Payment
At last apply your pre-activated coupon which will be shown in the same page and proceed to pay. You will not be asked for any payment for your order of study material. However, if you are old student of CA Institute you have to pay the requisite amount/price of respective subject/s or group/s in addition to applicable courier charges.
Once your coupon utilized newly registered students cannot use the coupon again to order the books. ICAI CDS portal also provide facility to track your order. So you can always check the status of the order and track the same. Usually books
will be delivered within 20 to 30 days.
